🔥 About me:

My name is Sasha Raskin. I’m a Number 1 Best Selling Co-Author in 12 Countries, a Doctoral student in Counseling Education and Supervision, a coach, a psychotherapist and an adjunct faculty at a graduate counseling program at Naropa University.

One of the things I’m enjoying the most is helping other therapists and coaches build their successful private practice so that they could actually help the clients they were taught to help, and thrive themselves. I’m almost always fully booked, so my ability to work with individuals is limited. That is why I’ve created this program to deliver powerful results and create a community where you will feel supported by each other!

This program's primary goal is to help you build a thriving private practice, in a fun and authentic way. Counselors and coaches invest an incredible amount of time, money, and effort into building their helping skills. However, when their training ends, they usually find themselves lacking the business skills that are needed to start and run a successful private practice, feel isolated, discouraged and not knowing where to start.

I believe that to be truly helpful to others, therapists and coaches have to learn to thrive themselves and definitely know how to get clients whom they can help.

This is where this program comes in. If you're willing to learn and work hard, a 6-figure private practice is within your reach in a year - 2 years. This program will give you a clear outline, and detailed instructions on how to get there.

Are You Struggling To Grow Your Counseling Private Practice? Follow This Advice

I'm the founder of the six figure practice which is a start-up accelerator for growing your private practice whether you're a counselor or coach.

I have a question for you if you're a counselor or a coach - did you ever feel like you're doing everything you possibly can and your private practice is just not growing? Or even things are getting worse. And I think that's a very common experience for many counselors and coaches when they grow their practice especially during the first six months to a year.

And I'll put aside the situation where you just don't have a plan, right? If you don't have a plan to grow your private practice it's probably going to take years and years. So if you want to take care of the plan you can just visit the link below, the6figurepractice.com, and that would take care of it.

But let's say you do have a plan and you're taking action, right? You're really invested and you understand that. The growth of your private practice is just function of actually you putting in the effort in the marketing and business side of doing that. And even though you're really showing up, you're putting in the work, you built your website, you wrote the text that really should work, you did professional headshots, you mastered social media, you did search engine optimization, you did Google Ads and nothing is working or at least it's not working as fast as you would like it to work. What do you do then?

So the thing that many counselors and coaches get stuck, and I've been there to myself sometimes still feel like that, is that desire for immediate return on your effort not return on your investment, return on your effort, if I put my website out there I worked hours and hours on it, I really invested my time, sometimes even maybe paid someone to do it, and clients are not calling, right? And just for the life of me I can't figure out what's happening, why it's not working?

What can really help is taking leg indicators into account. What are leg indicators? Many times you might be measuring your success in growing your private practice in the amount of clients you see a week, in the amount of consultation calls that gets scheduled, in the amount of clients that actually become paying clients, right? Those are all progress indicators.

And not enough people are paying attention to leg indicators which is how can I measure the effort that I'm taking while taking into account that there will necessarily be a delay between my actions today and the results of growth, right? And the problem with paying attention only to the results indicators, the progress indicators, those scheduled calls and clients that become clients is that it might lead to frustration, right? You're not taking into account that there is a necessary delay between those, and it might be a month, it might be two months, three months, sometimes half a year or a year, right?

But what will happen if you start actually paying attention to the leg indicators, right? Making sure that you count those half hours or hours that you put daily into building your private practice, and knowing that you do what you can to show up and put in the effort and knowing that it would pay off, it would just pay off later. And that's super important because when you start counting the no's as for example, as Rich Litvin says it, one of my coaches, then it's easier, right?

If you have 10 consultation calls and let's say only one becomes a client, that by the way shouldn't be happening if you using for example a script like we use in the six figure practice program, but let's say that's your result. The fact that you actually put in the time and the effort and you build all the systems up to actually have people reach out, that is powerful, right? Those yeses will come the more no's you get, the more consultation calls you do the more clients you will create.

The more blog posts you will write the higher your website would be ranked at Google. Just you can't forget the fact that Google actually looks at the amount of your content not just how relevant it is, also on the length of how long your website has been up which is really, really important.

So it all piles up. I want to, especially if you're at a point where you're beginning or kind of in the middle of growing your private practice and you're frustrated, I really want to fast forward it for you and talk about that moment in time when you cross that threshold of things kind of take a life on their own, right? You paid your dues, you put in the effort of growing your private practice and you did the main thing which is continuously showing up, continuously putting in the effort in terms of doing what needs to be done, educating yourself on business, building those marketing systems, improving what needs to be improved, and of course, helping your clients while doing that and becoming a better counselor and coach since you are gaining more clients, right? That's a feedback loop that feeds into itself.

And that moment will come when suddenly you will find yourself having consultation calls on a weekly basis and sometimes even feeling like you can say no to clients who don't feel like a good fit, right? You don't need to take every client and just you can refer them to someone who would be a better fit for them.

I think it was two weeks ago I had a week where I came back from my honeymoon in Hawaii, and I came back to a week of 14 consultation calls, right? So imagine how your life would change if your week is filled with those calls, right? I could literally (a) choose the clients I want to work with from those (b) I could really help my colleagues, referring clients to them knowing that this potential client would be a good fit for this counselor and so I'm helping others grow.

And I guess the relaxation that comes with knowing that (1) you have clients that are constantly reaching out and (2) your calendar is full for the next few weeks with potential clients. And the main thing, (3) it is the proof that you did what you needed to do in building your private practice.

So the main thing, the main takeaway, I would love for you to get from this conversation is just keep on growing even though it feels hard sometimes and you get discouraged like why people are not reaching out. It's not just about the fact that you're a good counselor or a good coach, right? The truth is the fact that you know how to help people doesn't make you entitled to help those people, right? That will come if you pay your dues with building the business side of your business. And that needs consistency, that needs honestly working on an emotional level with your fears and anxiety and what-ifs - what if I build it and they won't come. And that's really important.

By the way, thank you everyone for joining. I appreciate you being here.

So I hope it's been helpful. And if you feel like your practice is not growing fast enough what you can do is simply click on that link at the bottom and schedule a call with one of our coaches and they'll help you out, they'll map out with you your private practice journey - where you at, where you want to be and figure out what are the main obstacles. It's a free call.

At the end we might talk about working together if it feels like a good fit to implement you that game plan, but first let's have you that game plan in the first place, right? If you're listening that on the podcast you can simply go to the6figurepractice.com and get that call scheduled there. And there are like so many free resources there, you can pretty much get any question answered on that website.

So I hope it would serve you and it would serve your future clients, right? If you don't have clients you can't really hope, so let's close that gap.

I hope you have a wonderful day and I'll see you tomorrow on the daily live. By the way, if you're not on the Facebook group yet, successful private practice therapist, counselors and coaches, definitely join now because then you'll get notified on our next live. Have a wonderful day.
